hilarious cheney photo

Ok, so this entry might be libelous, but who cares, it's about Cheney!! I had this photo pointed out to me by my roommate who is a Computer Science major. Scowering the internet at all times of the day, CS majors always seem to be the first ones to expose online hilarity.

Yesterday, I attended the debate at UT as a member of the press and witnessed a media blackout.

Einstein, Torture, and Habeas Corpus
Tue Oct 09, 2007 at 02:16:12 AM PDT
Just as Einstein methodically observed the patterns of the universe, he observed the framework of the human race.
His remarks are applicable to almost any subject or contention we have: so let's apply them to one of the most substantial issues we are currently facing as humans, as Americans.
Al Gore - PRESIDENTIAL BID 2008 VIDEO
Wed Sep 12, 2007 at 04:14:04 PM PDT
I actually made this video so Al Gore could see it. I'm sure that it will only get around a 100 views, the vast majority being my family members, but it's worth a shot.
I've noticed that the Gore hype on DailyKos is fading. Maybe it's valid, and Gore is telling the truth when he denies any intent on joining the 2008 race, but I'm still optimistic, or maybe at this point I'm a dreamer.
A Corporate Army
Sat Aug 18, 2007 at 12:18:10 AM PDT
Blackwater Limited - a subsidiary of Blackwater USA, a mercenary army for sale. Corporations, foreign governments, perhaps even wealthy individuals... everyone can get a taste.
This diary will examine American Christian zealotry, briefly revisit an example of corporate warfare, and raise connections/predictions/questions regarding the current role 'private contractors' are playing in world affairs. If you want to skip to the meat of this post skip the first 2/3rds. The information regarding Greystone is predominantly taken from Jeremy Scahill's "Blackwater: The Rise of the World's Most Powerful Mercenary Army."
Peak Oil Short

I just cut together this quick video about peak oil.
I guess I should not have ended the video with, "Coming Soon," because the Iraq War is proof that Peak Oil is already effecting policy.
The Media Failure on Reporting Somalia
Mon Apr 30, 2007 at 12:17:45 AM PDT
This is bullshit. Complete irresponsibility on behalf of TV 'News.' This goes to show that you can't get your news from television.
The issue:
Somalia has recently been invaded by Ethiopian forces. On the surface, the situation can and is being framed as a regional conflict of power - a fight for democracy and the removal of "Al Qaeda." When you scratch that surface though, US involvement, imperialism in its purest form of trade loyalties that are built upon greed and proxied instability to secure national resources, is provable and imminent.
US actions have violated moral responsibility and UN security council resolutions to halt arms sales by North Korea - a country that according to the words of the previous presidential speech writer David Frum, the puppeted rhetoric of president george bush, and the outlandish thoughts of the Neocon hawks who are squatting upon the People's Owned Estate of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, is one of the three axes of evil that are currently 'plaguing' the western world with their evilness ... i'm not sure if bush has ever said that word and i wouldn't be surprised if he has.
